LADY ANTEBELLUM HELP VICTIMS

Lady Antebellum helped raise more than $285,000 at Louisville, KY’s KFC Yum! Center on May 16 to benefit the Henryville, IN community, which had been ravaged by a tornado earlier this year. All proceeds will be distributed through the New Hope/Indiana Bankers Association for the Disaster Relief Fund.

The group also hosted a private prom event with Henryville High School’s Juniors and Seniors where they surprised the students a with an acoustic performance, which was followed by the arena concert open to the public.

“This event started as an idea we had in the studio last year to crash someone’s prom,” explains Lady A’s Hillary Scott. “We had no idea at the time it would fill such a need. We are amazed by the support we’ve gotten from our fans, sponsors and the press. This is one of the proudest moments in our career!”

Lady A and ABC’s JuJu Chang visited Henryville High School where they toured the building that is currently under construction and planning to reopen this fall. The story will be featured today (5/17) on Good Morning America, World News Tonight with Diane Sawyer, Nightline, ABC Radio and on ABC affiliates across the country.

After reviewing Eden’s Edge’s debut album and chatting with them, it’s easy to predict this trio of wonderful singer/songwriters are on the verge of superstardom, already speeding up the on-ramp to get there thanks to their new album “Too Good To Be True.”

The reason for our optimism is this self-description from the group, “We started in Arkansas as a roots-driven band and our acoustic driven instrumentals and harmonies that’s a big part of who we are.”

What Cherril, Hannah and Dean say is true and what they’ve accomplished on their debut album is to take that potent mix of acoustic driven talent, and melded it with a mix of very accessible, contemporary songs that assures them a broad audience.

Fans have already embraced the debut, “Amen” and their “Too Good To Be True.” There are charming, slices of their rural roots like the sweetly provocative, “Skinny Dippin’” , that the girls say was the best way they had sometimes to cool off in the summer heat. “Who Am I Drinkin’ Tonight” is another example of a fresh approach to standard country themes, as is, “Last Supper,” a sad, passionate tale of goodbye at a restaurant, delivered by magnificent vocals. They close the album with a personal-sounding tip of the hat to their individual roots, “Christ Alone,” an a capella showcase of their raw talent as a harmony group.

Casey James jumped at the chance to lend a track to the 2012 Warrior Games highlight video. Presented by Deloitte and hosted by the U.S. Olympic Committee, The Warrior Games are a competition for wounded and ill veterans and service members.

“The Good Life,” the lead song from Casey’s self-titled debut album, provides the soundtrack for The 2012 Warrior Games highlight video which was shown at the closing dinner this past weekend for all the athletes who participated in this year’s Warrior Games.

LEE ANN WOMACK SINGS FOR FIRST LADY

Lee Ann Womack takes a break from recording for a trip to Washington, DC. where she has the honor to perform at the Centennial First Ladies Luncheon at the Washington Hilton TODAY, then head to the White House that evening for the presentation of the Library of Congress’ Gershwin Award. Says Lee Ann:

“When you’re asked by Congressman Green from Texas’s wife to help her, the collected spouses of Congress, the Supreme Court, President’s Cabinet and the Vice President to help honor our First Lady, you don’t say, ‘Well, I’m working on a record…’,” says Lee Ann. “To see all these people come together at a time when working together is gonna be the key to solving a lot of the issues facing our country, to me, that’s a wonderful place to start.” Lee an gets thanks…

To thank Womack for her performance, a contribution is being made to the Houston-based Healthcare for the Homeless, which provides long term medical care for people living on the streets or shelters who fall through the cracks. MIRANDA LAMBERT WRITES #1 WITH HER NUMBER ONE GUY BLAKE

Miranda Lambert has topped the country singles chart for the fourth time in her career with her current single, “Over You.” Miranda wrote the emotionally charged song with her husband Blake Shelton which addresses the passing of Blake’s brother when he was a teenager. The song has been certified Gold, and is from her current album, Four The Record, which is also Gold.

On writing with her husband, Miranda says, “I think the key is we sort of pick and choose what we want to do together as artists because we don’t ever want the business to get in the way of our personal relationship. So when we write together, we kind of step away from being husband and wife, and we just become artists that respect each other. And it’s a really good relationship, and I think doing that every now and then and keeping it special is what makes it work.”

Bud Light Stage and BIC® Soleil Bella® Beach Stage Offer a Variety of Artists and Non-Stop Music During Nashville’s Signature Music Event

Music continues to be the main attraction at the 2012 CMA Music Festival with a variety of artists from up-and-comers to legendary hitmakers performing on the new BIC Soleil Bella Beach Stage as well as the very popular Bud Light Stage at the Bridgestone Plaza where fans can enjoy 40 hours of concerts for free.

ALAN JACKSON SHOW OFF SONGS FROM NEW ALBUM

Alan Jackson will take to the Grand Ole Opry stage on Tues., May 8 and give a sneak peek performance of selections from his upcoming album Thirty Miles West, to be released June 5. It is his first album to be released under a new partnership between ACR (Alan’s Country Records) and EMI Records Nashville. During a 30-minute set, Jackson will perform some of his greatest hits along with the new material. Jackson’s portion of the show will be taped for later airing on GAC’s “Noteworthy at the Opry.”

Among other artists on the Opry May 8 are Little Big Town, Thompson Square, and Chris Young.
